Croatian Clubbing

Do the freaks really come out at night? I can’t confirm or deny that, but I do from time to time. While I love to explore in the day, as I’m sure most of you do, and even sleep in the night, I make time to go out a couple evenings.

I wasn’t sure about going out alone, but I already got the rundown of the safety, and adjusted to living freely. One day out, I went to grab some ice cream and beer (what a combo) and ran in to a couple other travelers from Brazil. I originally just wanted to ask them to take my pic and then we got to chit chatting. They said it was their last day and they were going to a night club recommended to them. It sounded like a good idea, seeing what the party life was like in Croatia, so I agreed to meet them and went about my way. I wasn’t quite sure if I would actually go, but when I got in later that afternoon and felt awake after my nap, I decided I was going to go.

The club they told me about was “Culture Club Revelin” and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but besides that ONE hiccup in the road with the police (http://everythingkoko.com/solo-travel-complaints/) I was really having a great time and was awakened to so many parts of me that had fallen asleep. I remembered the name, didn’t know where it was, how to get there, what it looked like, but I got dressed lol. After being there for a bit, I KNEW heels were not the way to go, so I wore a plunging pants suit and some flats, did my makeup, grabbed my keys and was ready to see what Clubbing in Croatia was about.

One thing about Croatians is that they’re super helpful and tourist friendly. Most of the people speak English and point you in the direction. Even if they don’t know, they’ll just call another Croatian over and ask them (I loved that!). This genuine consideration for people extended to the streets and still found it’s way into the club, it was their way of life!

Since I had been there and basically left my phone charging at all cafes, and could walk away with nobody stealing it, I felt hella comfortable going to the bar tender and asking if I could leave my bag (with money in it) my camera, AND my phone to charge. He was more than happy and guess what? EV-ER-Y-THING goes untouched, un-bothered, and un-moved(lol)!

Upon arrival to this castle club, It was probably the most beautiful exterior to a club I’ve seen. It is very medieval looking, but the music is bumping on the inside, there is a cafe and sitting area outside looking at the steps to go in. I’m not sure if it was a specific night but the dj was spinning the BEST mash ups and the dancing was the cherry on top to the renewed feeling I was getting!

My other traveling buddies came and we danced the night away. When I was done being my free spirited self, I took a cab ride home. One of the locals called the uber for me (you can pay cash in Croatia for Uber) and he drove me home safely. Walking down the steps to the bnb (seen here –> http://everythingkoko.com/your-not-so-secret-time-alone/), and yes, there were MORE steps (lol), I felt awake, I felt alive, I felt free. I knew I was destined to explore.

Check out a few pics and vid of the club and my plunging pants suit look…. Feel free to interact and ask questions here or in my DM’s! Not need to be shy luvs, all interaction is welcomed and appreciated. Likewise thanks for all the messages and support sent. Let’s explore the world together y’all! #teamus
