Dalmation Coast

If you know Croatia, you’ve heard of Dubrovnik, Montenegro, Zagreb, Split, and if you haven’t I’m happy to share. These are beautiful places with their own unique charm.

Being that there are towns and cities built on the side of the mountain, you get beautiful views of the Adriatic sea. There are small and larger islands that make up the Dalmatian Coast and the name is very fitting for the spotted islands that make up the Croatian Coastline.

In Dubrovnik you can scale the side of the mountain in orange cable cars going up 2,500 feet (778 meters). The escalation takes about 4 minutes to get from the lower station north of the city walls. The smooth ride will ascend Mount Srđ. and you’ll have spectacular views of the rooftops, skylines and the Adriatic Sea. Archipelagos are spotted in the Mediterranean waters and create picturesque shadowing in the evening at sunset.

Online It says the ride is $24.99, you may be able to get it cheaper if you buy it there. There are orderly lines to get up and down and plenty of room to walk around and get pictures from different angles. I was hoping to get the car in the evening just for the stunning views. If during the day is your preference, that is also available as it is open 9 am- 12 midnight during peak summer months. Check online for the operating hours for the month you have your trip scheduled for. They have a super fab dining area if you want to enjoy cocktails and tapas.

Below are some great peeks of what your views will be like when you get there. Enjoy the video clips as well.
