Hey luvs, and Happy New Years to you! I hope you had a great New Years, I guess we imply that when we say Happy New Year, right?? But even if you didn’t, the new year brings daily opportunities to make it better. Your life is YOURS, so own it.
I’ve never been much a “New Year, New Me,” or I’ve never really bothered with resolutions because I try to to learn and grow day to day. If you need or want to wait until New Years before doing or stopping something, I get it. Even though I may not do resolutions, I REFUSE to start “working out again” on a day other than Sunday, because who starts things on Tues or Thursday?? If you do, email or DM me and let’s chit chat, lol.
As I continue on in the New Year and reflect to how the last one ended, it reminded me of how things can change in a moment. I was excited for my Holiday staycation, and guess what? My phone shut down on CHRISTMAS EVE! (literally just went blank) and i stared at it for a good 2 minutes convincing myself it was NOT going to steal my joy!! It sure didn’t…….for those 2 minutes(lol)! Then sure enough, I felt myself getting upset. I did’t let my joy get stolen, but it definitely got borrowed that day.
Being a “silver lining” kind of girl, I applied some pressure and positive thinking and (all my #teamandroid luvs don’t hate me) made the switch to an iphone XR, an assumed good choice for blogging, and photos. [WARNING: switches cause glitches!!] I’m so technology 101 and learn new features the phone has after 2 years of having it. But I’m going to read this manual for y’all and make sure to bring you dope content!
I want to keep this blog post lite as I unfold all my layers, and just warm up. You can see how I write, realize that there will be humor (nerdy, dirty, and the like), and slang from time to time cuz that’s just how I do. Hope you didn’t let anything steal your joy, and if you did, snatch it back! The year is just starting, hold ya horses, and strap on for the ride.
Congratulations! You just put something positive in your mind today, and read my blog ice breaker. Pat yourself on the back, the credit is yours, and the appreciation is mine. Smile.
